Mandarin Interpreter FAQs
How much does a Mandarin interpreter cost in Singapore?
It depends on the mode (consecutive or simultaneous), the length of the job and whether equipment is needed. Most bookings are by half day or full day. Send us your details for a quote.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can: ideally 1–2 weeks ahead for meetings and 4–6 weeks for conferences. We also try to cater for requests up to the same day, subject to availability.
Do I need one or two interpreters?
Consecutive meetings of up to half a day usually need one. Simultaneous interpreting, or a full day of consecutive, needs two who take turns.
Are your Mandarin interpreters qualified?
Yes. Our Mandarin interpreters are trained and educated in interpreting, and some are members of AIIC, the International Association of Conference Interpreters.
Can you interpret online meetings?
Yes, on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Interprefy and similar platforms.
Do you also translate Chinese documents?
Yes. We provide certified document translation between English and Simplified or Traditional Chinese for contracts, reports and presentations.
Can you interpret outside Singapore?
Yes, we can send interpreters anywhere, including mainland China and Taiwan.
Do you provide Cantonese interpreters?
Yes. For example, we provided remote simultaneous interpreting between English, Mandarin and Cantonese for an insurer’s international conference. We can also provide Hokkien and Teochew interpreters for consecutive interpreting (e.g. meetings and interviews).
